How it helps
Use it for a focused task
This page helps you size a dust collector for a home woodshop. Pick your machines, tell the calculator how far the duct runs and how many bends you expect, and it estimates the CFM you need, suggests a minimum duct diameter, and flags likely bottlenecks.
You can save multiple shop layouts in your browser so you can come back later to compare upgrades or plan expansions. Start by selecting the machines you want to collect dust from.
Then enter the longest duct run in feet and the number of bends in that run. The calculator adds up the CFM needs, applies a safety factor, and recommends a collector size and duct diameter.
