How it helps
Use it for a focused task
A reference guide to matching microphone distance and gain with room conditions to capture clean voice audio. Select your microphone type, room environment, and speaking volume.
The guide will output a physical distance reference (like a hand width) and a starting gain level to share with guests. It prevents the most common remote recording issue: guests placing sensitive condenser mics too far away in echoey rooms, or eating dynamic mics and causing distortion.
Gain knobs vary wildly between interfaces. 'Medium' on a Focusrite Scarlett is different from 'Medium' on a Rodecaster.
