How it helps

Use it for a focused task

YardSetback lets you sketch a residential lot, enter the setback distances your local rules require, mark any utility or access easements, and immediately see the buildable zone. The page produces a to-scale SVG you can print, export as a PNG, or share with a link.

No CAD, no survey file, no signup. Pick a preset or draw your lot shape, enter front/rear/side setback values in feet, add easements if you know them, then adjust the shed or deck footprint on the sketch.

The buildable area updates live. Use Share to copy a link, Export PNG to save an image, or Print to get a clean one-page plan.

Good next steps

Make the result easier to act on

  • Start with the examples or presets if you are unsure what to enter for YardSetback.
  • Try one realistic scenario first, then adjust the numbers or notes to compare another path.
  • Use save or share from the project footer when you want to return to the same helper later.
  • Open a related project below when the result points to a timing, budget, writing, planning, or comparison task.
