How it helps

Use it for a focused task

The page helps patients and families turn anxiety into a plan. Instead of arriving at the hospital hoping things go well, you walk in with a printed checklist, a few practiced sentences, and a clear idea of what to watch for.

The interactive panel on the left builds a custom safety plan based on the kind of visit and the specific concerns you select. The right column explains each part of the plan, gives real examples, and answers common questions without hiding them behind a separate page.

Pick your visit type from the dropdown (surgery, emergency, maternity, pediatric, or outpatient procedure). Then check the concern tags that apply: medication safety, communication barriers, infection prevention, pain management, discharge planning, or cultural needs.
